Here is a great picture of some guys doing basket weaving at Kern.  It’s great to see that classic crafts never go out of style!  We’re pretty sure we’re still using the same table for Arts and Crafts…or at least one that looks just like it.

Camp Kern wants to thank the Dayton Foundation for their support for the new Recreation Hall project at Kern! The recreation hall will house an indoor basketball court, indoor arts center, and will have large covered outdoor play areas. Expanding camp’s ability to offer indoor programming will make those rainy days at camp that much more fun! Don’t worry, we’ll still go on wet hikes, catch frogs down by the pond (they all come out during the rain!) and explore the earthworm population as they emerge from their underground homes. However, after getting soaked and tired outside, now there will be a great place to play and spend time together under a roof.

Thank-you so much, Dayton Foundation! 45,000 Camp Kern guests yearly thank you!
